An inexpensive, yet valuable asset to training is the
integration of Simulated Military Equipment (SME)
devices with combat simulation systems.
Assimilating SME into simulation systems enhances the
“Train as you Fight” experience, combining hands-on
equipment training with task-based exercises.
Fidelity’s simulation team can take virtually any piece
of actual field equipment, replicate it, and
integrate it with your training system.
Each replicated device behaves
like its emulated counterpart, having the same form,
fit, functions, and controls of the actual
equipment. Simulated visuals let the trainees determine
and display on the SME the same information that is
displayed on equipment used in real operations, such as
maps, spherical coordinates, field of view, and
magnification.
A tripod houses a universal mount on which devices
can be interchanged. This serves as the common
connective interface between the simulation software and
the simulated equipment. The common interface makes
equipment add-ons, upgrades, and modifications simple
and economical. Handheld devices can be simulated by
integrating a tracking device.
Fidelity can replicate any piece of equipment.
