The anemometers withstand shock, vibration, wind gusts, gun blast over pressure, and thermal shock. These sensors are commonly used on combat vehicles because of their endurance capabilities.
VM-100 Visibility Detector The weather-resistant VM-100 visibility sensor, designed for coastal and inland waterway applications, is also ideal for use at airports and along highways. The US Coast Guard utilizes the fog detectors, which are built to military specification, at automated Aids to Navigation sites.
