Rep. Gerlach and U.S. Defense Officials Tour Manufacturing Facility, Receive 10,000th Unit of Production Order

READING, PA. – May 3, 2012 – Rep. Jim Gerlach (R-6th Dist.) and U.S. defense officials visited Fidelity Technologies Corporation (Fidelity) in Reading, PA on Thursday, May 3 to celebrate the delivery of the 10,000th power distribution system designed to safely distribute power to mobile compounds in the field. “Fidelity delivered a solution that allows the men and women serving our country across the globe to carry out their missions effectively and more safely than ever before,” said Congressman Jim Gerlach (PA-6th District). “It is truly an honor to recognize the hard work and ingenuity of every worker at the Muhlenberg Township plant as well as Fidelity’s commitment to creating jobs in this community.”

The Power Distribution Illumination System, Electrical (PDISE) safely sends the power from generators to wherever it is needed to power lights and any other mission-critical and life-saving electrical equipment in the field. Fidelity has produced 10,000 units, totaling $83 million, of a contract with the U.S. Army worth as much as $124 million, depending on the total number of units the Army will ultimately purchase.

At the event, Fidelity officials also expressed appreciation to the U.S. Army for the opportunity to manufacture the PDISE units. Representing the customer at today’s event were: Bob Thoens; PM MEP Product Director Large Power Source, Col. Brian Cummings; Project Manager Mobil Electric Power and Bill Sverapa, Deputy Program Executive Officer of PEO-C3T.

The key properties of the PDISE are portability and safety, allowing the military access to a reliable source of electricity distribution anywhere in the world. The system can be used safely and efficiently in all types of weather and allows the Army to reduce the number of generators, personnel and equipment in the field necessary to support a forward deployment. In addition to the equipment and personnel reductions, deploying the system saves 275,000 gallons of fuel per year, per wartime brigade, saving money and reducing the personnel risks associated with convoy transportation of fuel in battle zones.

“The success of the PDISE program for both the Government and Fidelity Technologies is a true example of a strong industry/government partnership,” said David Gulati, president of Fidelity. “We are proud to have created 75 jobs in a region that has seen its manufacturing base deteriorate over the last several decades. Hopefully we will receive more contracts of this type to further boost the local economy and create good, stable jobs.”

Fidelity was awarded the contract based on its competitive bid and proven ability to deliver a quality product. The units have received extensive testing by the military in extreme environments such as rain, heat and freezing temperatures. Fidelity officials note that not one unit delivered to the field has been returned as faulty since the program began three years ago.

“We’re proud to continue to supply the needs of the Army and enhance the safety of our war fighters,” Gulati added.

Fidelity Technologies Corporation is the lead sponsor of the 2012 Omega Joint Fires Conference, which will be held at The Victory Services Club in central London, April 24th and 25th. The aim of the conference will be to examine the likely development of Joint Lethal and Non Lethal Fires in the coalition environment during the next decade.

Fidelity has teamed with conference host, Omega Conferences & Events, to bring together senior military officers, requirements and acquisitions officials, senior officers from the Joint Fires Organizations and industry personnel from around the globe. This event gives everyone a global opportunity to come together for discussions on the current and possible future conflicts and how to have the greatest effect with the least amount of resources and cost through Joint and Coalition forces’ integration.

Fidelity’s keynote presentation, provided by Retired US Marine Officer and Fidelity Director Ryan Roche, focuses on Redefining Immersive Training for the Joint Warfighter. The global military transition to the current warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures has redefined the requirements for integrated development and sustainment training. With an age defined by rapid development through even faster advancing technology solutions to war-fighting, the same must be done for the training continuum which defines a unit’s readiness and core capabilities. Fidelity Technologies has harnessed emerging technologies, requirements, solutions and skill sets to merge the gap between virtual training and real world applications. Come see how Fidelity is Redefining Immersive Training for the future of the Joint Warfighter.

READING, PA. – November 28, 2011 – Fidelity Technologies Corp. (Fidelity) has delivered the Production Representative Article (PRA) of its latest training system, the Joint Terminal Control Training and Rehearsal System (JTC TRS), to the US Air Force’s Aeronautical Systems Center – Simulators Division.

The primary focus of the system is to provide a virtual air-ground training and mission rehearsal environment. In that complex, simulated environment, the skills of Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) and Combat Control Teams (CCT) are developed along with the skills of the air crews they work with during Joint Close Air Support missions in close proximity to ground forces.

Within that immersive environment, trainees use simulated military equipment to detect, recognize, and identify potential targets, and relay that information through voice or digital communications to request supporting assets to attack those targets.

The JTC TRS is a full-spectrum Joint Fires simulation and training system, providing training in the disciplines of Terminal Attack Control (TAC), Close Air Support (CAS), Air Traffic Control (ATC), and Call for Fire (CFF). The system provides the ability for these specialized war fighters to train with a multitude of assets in an immersive virtual environment.

The JTC TRS also features connectivity to aircraft simulators outside of the system. Not only will the JTC TRS enhance an individual’s ability, it will improve the overall capabilities, efficiency, and effectiveness of the entire group of war-fighters.

“This simulator will create a fully immersive simulated training environment,” explained David Gulati, president of Fidelity. “We are extremely proud of its ability to prepare war-fighters for what they may face on a complex battlefield where they will need to make split-second decisions – literally life-or-death decisions.”

Fidelity will maintain the JTC TRS for a period of one year at their facility in Reading, PA.

The highly-technological simulator includes a large 240 x 60-degree projection system, to serve as an interactive screen, and an extensive network of computers. A variety of simulated environments can be created, including geographically realistic representations, day or night scenarios, unaided or aided with night vision devices.

This mission simulation system has applicability for training personnel in all four military services (Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps). The system will not only provide realistic training at all levels of expertise from novice to expert, but can also be used as a mission rehearsal system, permitting individuals or teams to practice in a virtual battle space approximating the actual environment to be encountered.

“Fidelity Technologies, like all 2011 Greater Philadelphia Fast 50 companies, have excelled in fostering innovation and channeling it into spectacular growth – against the backdrop of one of the most challenging economies in history,” said Tara L. Weiner, managing partner, Greater Philadelphia region, Deloitte LLP. “Deloitte recognizes Fidelity for its remarkable accomplishment.”

Company Earns Distinction with Second Consecutive Year of Tremendous Growth

READING, PA – June 30, 2011 – Fidelity Technologies Corporation has been ranked second among the top 50 businesses in the Greater Reading area by the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce & Industry and KPMG LLP. The award honors the area’s most dynamic businesses and their ongoing contributions to the growth and success of the region.

The award is based on Fidelity’s growth in revenue, measured in both percentage and dollar amount. In 2010, the company was number one on the list; achieving a second straight high ranking shows a sustained expansion in Fidelity’s business.

“Earning a spot in the top two for two consecutive years is a significant accomplishment,” said Fidelity President David Gulati. “It’s a tribute to the hundreds of team members here at Fidelity who are fully committed to the success of the company.”

A privately-held company, Fidelity has three divisions: Simulation and Training, Field Services and Military and Aerospace Manufacturing. Headquartered in Reading, PA, Fidelity is a leading global supplier of quality products and services to the U.S. Department of Defense and foreign militaries.

A family business, Fidelity was founded by Jack D. Gulati in 1987 and is now owned by his three sons, David, Charles and Michael. The trio continues to operate the $100 million enterprise with a small business culture where its customers and employees come first.

“Our rapid growth has forced us to establish formalized processes, policies and procedures,” said Gulati. “For us to continue to prosper we believe it is important for us to adapt to this change while maintaining our customer-focused and employee-friendly culture.”

Fidelity’s years of hard work have built a strong reputation in the defense and aerospace industry, as noted by this award and many other accolades in recent years. The “Top 50” award acknowledges Reading area businesses that have experienced growth, even during the past few years of severe economic challenges, and have created a positive influence on the future of Greater Reading.

Fidelity’s commitment to excellence at all levels of the company and providing customers with superior products and services have been instrumental to the success, Gulati said.

READING, PA. – June 2, 2011 – Fidelity Technologies Corporation was awarded a contract to provide simulation training technology to assist the U.S. Army as it prepares to transition security responsibilities to the Afghan National Army Air Corps (ANAAC) in Afghanistan. The U.S. Army PEO STRI (Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation), based in Orlando, FL, awarded Fidelity the $16.7 million contract, with options that could bring the contract value up to $31 million, to provide simulators and logistics support.

Within an 18 month period, Fidelity will deliver four simulators: MI-17 Flight Training Device (FTD), G-222 Flight Training Device (FTD), G-222 Basic Aviation Training Device (BATD) and G-222 Fuselage Load Trainer (FLT). The simulators will help train Afghan warfighters in support of the Combined Security Transition Command, a multinational military formation designed to train and develop security forces, including the Afghan National Army Air Corps headquartered in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Fidelity’s high-tech simulation training equipment provides a fully-immersive simulated environment to prepare pilots-in-training on a virtual battlefield. In addition to supplying the simulators, the contract calls for Fidelity to provide support for installation and maintenance of the equipment.

“The fact that the U.S. Army is able to begin handing over certain security duties to the Afghan Army is a sign of success in Afghanistan,” said Fidelity President David Gulati. “We are honored to provide support for the U.S. Army as it continues to prepare its counterparts in Afghanistan to assume greater responsibilities.”

Delivery of the simulators will span the 18-month contract. The G-222 BATD is to be delivered to Kabul within six months, followed by the MI-17 FTD and G-222 FTD to be delivered within 12 months and the G-222 FLT to be delivered within 18 months. The contract also calls for Fidelity to provide spare equipment, documentation and simulator training. Following delivery of the simulators, Fidelity staff will spend the next 12 months in Kabul to dispense logistics support.
