GUARDFIST II
(Guard Unit Armory Device Full-Crew Interactive Simulation Trainer)
Fidelity's LEGACY indirect fire artillery training
system provides simulated battlefield scenarios
for the training of Field Artillery Forward Observers (FOs).
The trainer is designed to improve FO proficiency in
target identification, and to reduce the time required
to execute an effective call-for-fire.
More than 250 GUARDFIST II trainers are
fielded by the U.S. Army and U.S. Army National Guard. The
Call for Fire Trainer will replace these
systems over the next several years.
Throughout the system's ten-year life,
FIDELITY provided horizontal technology insertion of modern cost
effective peripherals, re-hosted the system to a standard
platform, and enhanced performance features to address changes
in army training procedures and protocols.
