FIDELITY TECHNOLOGIES WINS LOCKHEED MARTIN
STAR SUPPLIER AWARD
Reading,
PA June 18, 2002 Lockheed Martin
executives presented Fidelity Technologies Corporation with the STAR
Supplier – Perfect Product Award at a recent ceremony at Fidelity’s
corporate facility in Reading, PA. The award recognizes Fidelity as one
of Lockheed Martin’s top-performing suppliers. Only seven firms
worldwide have earned this award in the past year.
The
prestigious award is made only to Lockheed Martin suppliers who
distinguish themselves by meeting some of the most stringent performance
criteria in the aerospace industry. To join this elite group of STAR
suppliers, Fidelity Technologies Corporation achieved 100% quality and
100% delivery for all products provided to Lockheed Martin for a minimum
of one year. Additionally, Fidelity met the established criteria for
Lockheed Martin’s supplier performance evaluation metric that
evaluates quality, delivery, affordability, and
management/administration.
Fidelity
is subcontracted by Lockheed to produce and deliver upgrade kits for
A-10 aircraft. Lockheed Martin STAR suppliers are provided visibility
across Lockheed Martin Corporation. This results in increased
opportunities for Fidelity to acquire future contracts with Lockheed,
which had $24 billion sales in 2001.
FIDELITY TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION provides services to the U.S.
Department of Defense and prime contracting agencies in the areas of
manufacturing, engineering, integrated simulation systems, and military
field support. The company,
staffed by over 250 employees, operates a 73,000 square-foot
manufacturing facility in Reading, Pennsylvania and field offices

FIDELITY SIMULATOR INSTRUCTORS DEVELOPING
NEW
NAVAL PILOT QUALIFICATION PROGRAM
Jacksonville,
NC February, 2002 Simulator instructors from Fidelity Technologies Corporation
are developing an Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) for MV22-B Pilot
training. It is the latest
in training methods, proficiency-based qualification, and training. The
intent of AQP is to improve pilot performance using a training process
that is audited, analyzed, and corrected using collected performance
data.
Fidelity
is developing the qualification program as part of a five-year,
$5.5 million contract to provide flight simulator instruction for
MV22 Pilots at the U.S. Marine New River Air Station located south of
Jacksonville, North Carolina.
The
Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) is a voluntary alternative to the
traditional regulatory requirements under CFR 14, Parts 121 and 135 for
pilot training and checking. Under the AQP, the FAA is authorized to
approve significant departures from traditional requirements, subject to
justification of an equivalent or better level of safety. The overall
goals of the Advanced Qualification Program are: to increase aviation
safety through improved training and evaluation; and to be responsive to
changes in aircraft technology, operations, and training methodologies.

FIDELITY TECHNOLOGIES CORP WINS $2.4M TRAINING
CONTRACT
WITH CZECH ARMY
Reading,
PA November 2001 The Army of the Czech Republic awarded a contract to U.S.-based Fidelity
Technologies Corporation to produce an Artillery Training Simulator
System (ATSSCz) under the U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.
The ATSSCz is based on the same simulation technology Fidelity
uses under contract to the United States Army to produce the GUARDFIST
II simulation trainer for forward observers. The ATSSCz will contain all
of the field artillery “call-for-fire” protocols contained within
the GUARDFIST database. In
addition, the ATSSCz will be customized to reflect terrains and military
chains of command unique to the Czech Republic.
The ATSSCz contract was initiated by a visit
in March last year to
the FIDELITY facility by Czech Ambassador Alexandr Vondra and Col.
Wellsford V. Barlow, Jr., project manager for the United States Army
Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation Command Division (STRICOM)
U.S. Congressman Timothy Holden provided advice
and guidance to Fidelity during contract negotiations. The contract is
projected to be worth $2.4 million.
Fidelity’s vice president of marketing,
Albert Jodzio, said “the ATSSCz contract is unique in that it
demonstrates the cooperation that exists between Fidelity, the U.S.
Army, the Czech Army, and companies in the Czech Republic.”
Fidelity plans to perform a substantial amount of the work in the
U.S., but will subcontract a portion of the project to Czech companies.

CZECH AMBASSADOR VISITS LOCAL COMPANY
TO
SOLIDIFY TRAINING EFFORTS ABROAD
Reading,
PA March, 2001 FIDELITY GROUP welcomed Ambassador Alexandr Vondra, representative to
the United States from the Czech Republic, to its corporate offices in
Reading, Pennsylvania. The ambassador’s visit was part of a
cooperative effort between Fidelity and the Czech Republic government to
initiate an agreement to develop a computer-based artillery training
system. Also in attendance were Czech Defense Attachι Major General
Rostislov Kotil, U.S. Congressman Tim Holden, Colonel Wellsford Barlow,
Jr. of the U.S. Army, and Michael O’Pake, Pennsylvania state senator.
The system under consideration is based upon
technology developed and implemented by FIDELITY for the United States
Army. Since 1993, Fidelity
has been under contract with the United States Army Simulation,
Training, and Instrumentation Command Division (STRICOM) to deliver
simulation trainers for forward observers.
Known as GUARDFIST II, the simulation trainer is used by the Army
National Guard to teach artillery forward observers how to execute an
effective call for artillery fire.
GUARDFIST II uses electronic media to replicate
actual battleground combat conditions in a non-combat (classroom)
environment. Use of a
GUARDFIST II simulator saves the military the cost of expending
thousands of dollars for live artillery ammunition, and avoids the
safety issues of live combat training.
Fidelity has delivered 170 individual trainers and 30 classroom
trainers to STRICOM, which are deployed around the world.
GUARDFIST II Trainers played a significant role in recent
incidents in Kosovo.
Jack Gulati, president of Fidelity Group, said
“today’s visit by Ambassador Vondra, Congressman Holden, Colonel
Barlow, and other representatives represents the initiation of the
program and the beginning of what everyone hopes will be a long-lasting
cooperative relationship between Fidelity and the Czech Companies, and
their respective governments.”
