Job Description:

Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify and install various types of electronic and electromechanical equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, server computers and industrial measuring, and controlling equipment.  Apply basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve typical and atypical problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits, judgment in planning work sequence and skill in selecting tools and testing instruments.

This technician works under supervision and receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technicians.  Management may review completed work for compliance with accepted practices. 

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Preventive and Corrective maintenance on various electronic and electromechanical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose difficult, infrequent problems with minimal direction or documentation.
  • Work with other team members on the planning and installation of complex systems.
  • Develop maintenance standards and procedures for use by others.
  • Analyze repair practices and develop procedural instructions for use by others on methods and steps to repair equipment.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of equipment by analyzing data, interpreting results and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Evaluate equipment failure by analyzing data, interpreting results and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Revise specifications.
  • Interact within team and outside groups to influence others. Participate in teams.
  • Be able to take general instructions on tasks and complete assignments on time.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a certificate from a two-year electronic technician course at an accredited technical institute and have a minimum of five (5) years on-the-job experience.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years experience using various operating systems.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years experience with MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Candidate must possess excellent spoken and written communication skills. 
  • Candidate must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Candidate must participate in and be able to pass drug screening/test.
  • Experience creating reports with MS Access a plus.

Systems Engineer - Reading, PA

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in system development, subsystem specification requirements, integration / test, and the production of complex computer based systems involving a common architecture / modular approach. 

Specific experience should include System Interoperability, Semi Automated Forces Software, Image Generation Software, Image Database Generation, DIS / HLA, Visual Display Systems, Digital Voice Systems.

Lead Visual Engineer - Reading, PA 

Fidelity Technologies Corporation is currently seeking an experienced senior software engineer for the role of Lead Visual Engineer, to lead several engineers who are involved in enhancing and maintaining 3-D Visualization (Image Generator) software for Military Training Simulators.

This position is for full-time employment, preferably in Reading, Pennsylvania. (Fidelity would also consider locating the position in our Orlando office, for the right candidate).

Required:

  • C++ Programming and Debugging experience in MS Windows environment using Object-Oriented Methodology
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, plus 5 to 10 years experience, minimum
  • Must have strong leadership skills  to guide the efforts of other Fidelity engineers and sub-contractors to deliver Image Generator (IG) functionality on-schedule.

Responsibilities:

Identifies, qualifies and captures new business in support of Fidelity's Military and Aerospace Manufacturing Group, which fabricates electronic and electromechanical parts and systems for the Military and Aerospace Industry, OEMs, and commercial enterprises.  Key responsibility will be to identify and build a fulfillment channel to address opportunities for mobile electric power products in the commercial market.

Key tasks for the Commercial Business Development Executive include:

  • Leverage existing contacts to identify and close profitable new business opportunities for commercial Mobile Electric Power products and services

Fidelity Technologies Corporation is currently seeking an Applications Engineer to support new business development for portable electrical distribution and generation products in government and commercial markets.  In this position, the Engineer will be responsible for translating customer requirements into prototypes, specifications, and drawings, as well as technical analysis of competitive offerings.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of applicable work experience
  • Experience with creating prototypes from preliminary spec discussions

Software Technical Support
 

Fidelity Technologies Corporation is seeking an individual to provide software technical support for three (3) computer systems in Cairo, Egypt.

 

The successful candidate must have a solid background and understanding of Visual Basic to include troubleshooting, analysis and programming.

 

Responsibilities will include monitoring each system for optimal performance, troubleshooting problems identified by the customer, reporting problems to the home company, installing customized software, programming system enhancements, informal on-the-job training and maintaining a working relationship that ensures adequate response to customer needs.

 

A background in air traffic control or aviation would be helpful but is not mandatory. A current, valid U.S. passport is required. The successful candidate will be required to pass drug and HIV blood testing.

 

This is a minimum one (1) year assignment to Cairo, Egypt with the possibility of extension.  During the assignment you will be authorized to return to the U.S. quarterly. To qualify for this assignment you must show evidence that you are a self-starter capable of working without daily guidance and supervision.
