The innovative Non-Tactical
Pocket Forward Entry Device (NT-PFED) was
developed to provide soldiers with a
cost-effective means to enter call for fire and
9-line CAS information when training with the
CFFT. In many instances, units are unable to
provide actual tactical PFEDs when training with
the CFFT.
As a solution, Fidelity designed
the NT-PFED to look and function like the
tactical device so that students receive the
same training value they would get if using the
real equipment.
Fidelity worked with Booz Allen
Hamilton, the tactical PFED software developer,
to modify the tactical software so that it can
run on a commercial IPAQ.
