Fidelity Technologies Corporation (Fidelity) today announced a contract with the Canadian Department of National Defense (CDND) for simulation and training systems.
The contract, valued at $3.2 million, is for the design, development, fabrication, installation and support of eight Indirect Fires and Forward Air Controller (IF/FAC) Training Systems.
These training devices, in both fixed and portable configurations, will provide interim training to the Canadian Armed Forces in the procedures and processes necessary for joint forces operations in Call for Fire and Close Air Support (CFF/CAS). The devices will help teach war fighters direct and indirect fire application techniques.
Fidelity’s products will be installed on bases throughout Canada and deployed with Canadian Joint Forces Units throughout the world. Fidelity has already begun work, anticipating a delivery date of this summer. As part of the contract with the CDND, Fidelity will support these systems for a minimum of five years after delivery.
“The simulators we are providing are next generation; a training solution that is not currently addressed by the Canadian Department of National Defense,” explained J. David Gulati, president of Fidelity. “It will provide a fully immersive simulated environment for the training of war fighters.”
